Whether you are a social media maven or new kid on the block, you’ve likely questioned whether to submit that status update or post that picture at least once. Or perhaps you’ve debated accepting or sending a friend request or following someone? As our personal and professional lives blend together, how do you represent yourself online? How you and your colleagues use social media can greatly impact your organization's reputation with the community. In this workshop at the 2012 Bridge to Integrated Marketing and Fundraising Conference, Farra Trompeter and Danielle Brigida, Manager of Social Media at the National Wildlife Federation, looked at different ways you can shape and manage your brand online--including helpful tips and tools you can put in to practice immediately.

With the rise of social media, many nonprofits are exploring new ways of fundraising, advocating, and conducting outreach online. This workshop will help participants understand how effective multi-channel online communications work, using examples from health industry nonprofits and more. Our emphasis won't be on technical 'how tos', but rather strategies, with particular emphasis on the question of return on investment from the nonprofit CEO's point of view.
What is the difference between content curation and content creation and how can it impact your nonprofit's communication strategy? Learn ways to leverage social media to connect with longtime supporters in new ways and activate new supporters.
How does one navigate personal and professional boundaries in the world of social media, and what does that mean for your leadership? How does the social media buzzword “transparency” translate into “leadership?” This presentation was prepared for for professional educators and lay leaders at the North American Jewish Day School Conference. The presentation reviews how nonprofit and educational executives are using social media, considers uses and strategy for an executive social media presence, and offers a "playbook" for using your own social media voice as an educator.
This session is for professional and lay leaders who have recently engaged in social media, or are considering how to personally use social media in a professional context.

Social media has fundamentally shifted the way we communicate and connect with our supporters. Farra Trompeter, Vice President of Big Duck, will moderated a panel of nonprofiteers who manage communities and social media for their organizations. Together they will shared how they use social media to engage their communities.
As you expand the tools you use to communicate online and off and staff's roles change, how do you ensure you're all speaking with one voice? Based on Sarah Durham's book, "Brandraising: How Nonprofits Raise Visibility and Money Through Smart Communications", (Jossey-Bass, 2010) this workshop will help you apply Brandraising concepts to improve your program's communications, and make sure they make sense with other aspects of your organization's communications, too.
When it comes to the Web, a lot has changed over the past 10 years (and some things haven't). Does your website give users what they need, how they want to find it? Does it serve your mission and current goals? How have the trends toward interactivity, social media, and responsive design impacted your website? Do you have a content strategy and resources you need to keep your site up to date? We'll have fun taking a stroll down memory lane - playing "name that year" on site designs and looking at some awesome successes and a few wonderful failures.
With more communications channels out there, your supporters are getting bombarded with more messages from charities, companies, friends, and family members. So how can you make sure your organization stands out? In this workshop, Farra Trompeter from Big Duck, Dane Grams from Care2, and Danielle Brigida from National Wildlife Federation, share ways you can build stronger campaigns through multichannel communications, leveraging online communities, embracing social media, and sharing some successful case studies.
Participants will takeaway:
*Ideas and lessons learned from nonprofit campaign case studies
*Tactics to build your list and use social media
*Ways to integrate best practices into your communications
*Tips to make your campaigns stronger

Why You Should Replace Windows 11 with Nitrux Linux 3.5.0 for enhanced perfor...SOFTTECHHUB
The choice of an operating system plays a pivotal role in shaping our computing experience. For decades, Microsoft's Windows has dominated the market, offering a familiar and widely adopted platform for personal and professional use. However, as technological advancements continue to push the boundaries of innovation, alternative operating systems have emerged, challenging the status quo and offering users a fresh perspective on computing.
One such alternative that has garnered significant attention and acclaim is Nitrux Linux 3.5.0, a sleek, powerful, and user-friendly Linux distribution that promises to redefine the way we interact with our devices. With its focus on performance, security, and customization, Nitrux Linux presents a compelling case for those seeking to break free from the constraints of proprietary software and embrace the freedom and flexibility of open-source computing.

As machine learning integrates deeper into human-computer interactions, the concept of epistemic interaction emerges, aiming to refine these interactions to enhance system adaptability. This approach encourages minor, intentional adjustments in user behaviour to enrich the data available for system learning. This paper introduces epistemic interaction within the context of human-system communication, illustrating how deliberate interaction design can improve system understanding and adaptation. Through concrete examples, we demonstrate the potential of epistemic interaction to significantly advance human-computer interaction by leveraging intuitive human communication strategies to inform system design and functionality, offering a novel pathway for enriching user-system engagements.

Removing Uninteresting Bytes in Software FuzzingAftab Hussain
Imagine a world where software fuzzing, the process of mutating bytes in test seeds to uncover hidden and erroneous program behaviors, becomes faster and more effective. A lot depends on the initial seeds, which can significantly dictate the trajectory of a fuzzing campaign, particularly in terms of how long it takes to uncover interesting behaviour in your code. We introduce DIAR, a technique designed to speedup fuzzing campaigns by pinpointing and eliminating those uninteresting bytes in the seeds. Picture this: instead of wasting valuable resources on meaningless mutations in large, bloated seeds, DIAR removes the unnecessary bytes, streamlining the entire process.
In this work, we equipped AFL, a popular fuzzer, with DIAR and examined two critical Linux libraries -- Libxml's xmllint, a tool for parsing xml documents, and Binutil's readelf, an essential debugging and security analysis command-line tool used to display detailed information about ELF (Executable and Linkable Format). Our preliminary results show that AFL+DIAR does not only discover new paths more quickly but also achieves higher coverage overall. This work thus showcases how starting with lean and optimized seeds can lead to faster, more comprehensive fuzzing campaigns -- and DIAR helps you find such seeds.

zkStudyClub - Reef: Fast Succinct Non-Interactive Zero-Knowledge Regex ProofsAlex Pruden
This paper presents Reef, a system for generating publicly verifiable succinct non-interactive zero-knowledge proofs that a committed document matches or does not match a regular expression. We describe applications such as proving the strength of passwords, the provenance of email despite redactions, the validity of oblivious DNS queries, and the existence of mutations in DNA. Reef supports the Perl Compatible Regular Expression syntax, including wildcards, alternation, ranges, capture groups, Kleene star, negations, and lookarounds. Reef introduces a new type of automata, Skipping Alternating Finite Automata (SAFA), that skips irrelevant parts of a document when producing proofs without undermining soundness, and instantiates SAFA with a lookup argument. Our experimental evaluation confirms that Reef can generate proofs for documents with 32M characters; the proofs are small and cheap to verify (under a second).
