This document summarizes a numerical study of mixed convection flow and heat transfer in a lid-driven cavity. The study uses the SIMPLE algorithm to solve the governing equations for an incompressible, steady 2D flow in a square cavity. The upper wall moves at a constant speed and is at a higher temperature, while the stationary lower wall is at a lower temperature. Results are presented through velocity and temperature contour plots for different values of the thermal diffusivity parameter. Increasing the thermal diffusivity leads to higher velocities near the walls and a sudden temperature increase near the southeast cavity corner.
