Mission San Luis is a living history museum in Tallahassee, Florida that teaches visitors about the Apalachee Indians and Spanish missionaries who lived there in the early 17th century. The Council House, a large multi-purpose structure, has been reconstructed at the museum to show how the Apalachee Indians held ceremonies and meetings. Costumed guides give tours of the structures to help visitors understand the daily lives and religious changes experienced by the Apalachee under European influence at the westernmost Spanish mission. The museum is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10am to 4pm with admission costs for adults and discounts for seniors, children, and active duty military.
