Central Mission Mode Project   -- Passport, Immigration & Visa
Objectives Aims at enhancing the experience of in-bound and out-bound travellers from India Project implemented in two modules -  one looking into aspects of immigration & Visa (aims to reduce immigration clearance time and ensure better security checks).  - second into passport issues(concerned with speedy resolution of issues )‏
Services: Application for fresh passport Renewal Application status tracking Effective and efficient immigration formalities for all incoming international flights.

STATUS:  On line submission of applications and tracking. Passport application submission at 463 districts passport cells and 1095 post offices/speed post centers. All 31 offices are computerized. Issues machine readable and machine printed passports in ICAO STANDARDS. 15 out of 26 large mission and 67 out of 120 small mission computerized. Implementing e-Governance in visa and immigration is awaiting consideration and approval.
State Mission Mode Project   -- Gram Panchayats
Panchayats. . . First Level Of Interaction For Over 60% Of Rural Population National e-Governance Plan has identified Panchayat as one of the Mission Mode Projects(MMP).  MMP  designed to overcome the challenges being faced in the villages such as lack of reliable communication infrastructure, delay in providing services to the citizens (Licenses, Certificate etc)‏
In order to achieve its vision and objectives, MMP envisages implementation of various application modules covering the following services/management functions within Gram Panchayat: Issue of Trade Licenses House Related Services  Certificate of Birth, Death, Income Dissemination of Internal Process of Panchayat agenda, voting, resolution  Copy of Proceedings of Gram Sabha and Action Taken Report  Receipt of Funds / Progress Report  Data on BPL, PF for Landless , Agricultural Laborers, education, Health facilities & status  Digitization of the Village Infrastructure on a Map
Some states ( West Bengal , Orissa and AP) have implemented e-Government modules in Panchayat . A National Panchayat Portal has been developed by NIC which has  information, content and services needed by people links citizens with Panchayat links Panchayat with each other allows access to information & services provided by  Ministry of Panchayati Raj
STATUS : States like Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Orissa, Tamil Nadu and Assam started computerization of gram panchayat. Total envisaged cost is about 3500 Cr. for 3 years.
Gram Panchayat Management System WEST BENGAL
NeGP initiatives in rural Bengal Extension of WBSWAN to all 341 blocks with 2 mbps connection. Connectivity to 277 Gram Panchayats in the Bardhaman district through 31 blocks and 6 sub-divisions as pilot project. 6797 Citizen Service Centers for delivery of various services planned in the rural areas of the state. Capacity building of PRI functionaries and officials.
GIS based Information System at GP Level. Digital Map of all GPs prepared & available in the website  www.wbprd.nic.in All village level Census 2001 data available for all GPs. Possible to answer complex query to facilitate planning. Other GP level social, economic & infrastructure data can be easily ported and are being done in selected GPs.
Other services offered at the GP Level Documentation of  births & deaths. Computerized certificate generation. Issue of trade licenses. Monitoring & reporting of poverty alleviation programs. Information on BPL families / Individual beneficiaries.
