The document describes how a group created fake injuries and wounds for photographs in the opening of their thriller. They experimented with resources like gum, ink, and makeup to carve letters into skin and enhance them with color. The letters spelled "CARMA" and were engraved on different body parts of characters to be important to the narrative. Props like a fake gun, chain, and glass tube with glitter water were also used to represent injuries of shooting, strangulation, and poisoning victims.

2.  At the start of our thriller opening there is a photographic montage of images
showing the wounds of murder victims.
 These are significant to the narrative as the letters form a word; ‘Carma’ (seen above).
 Our group modelled the injuries on our own skin for the photographs that are shown
in the opening of our thriller.
 We did this by experimenting with the necessary resources (chewing gum, a
sharp/blunt object, red ink or food colouring and foundation) after doing some
research on how fake cuts are created.
 We chose the method of carving letters directly into gum ,which is placed on the skin
to protect it, and then enhancing with coloured ink because it seemed relatively easy
which was good as we have never done something like this before.
 The letters are seen engraved into different parts of the characters bodies
(hand, neck, foot, arm and stomach) which is also important concerning the
narrative.

4.  At the start of our thriller opening there is a
photographic montage of images showing the
deaths of murder victims.
 For two of the death scenes featured in this we
used make-up to create injuries which have
been caused by the murder of the victims in
the narrative.
 The gunshot wound shown in one of the
pictures was created by using a mixture for fake
blood (made by one of our group members)
which was then applied to the characters face
to make it appear as though they have been
shot in the head with a gun.
 The character who has died for being strangled
with a chain had a pink/brown powder applied
to their neck to represent a burn mark on the
skin from struggling before they were killed.

5.  One of the props we used was a fake gun which is
featured in the photograph of the victim who was
shot.
 Another prop we used was a chain; shown in the
photograph of the victim who was strangled. They
also have their hands tied up with rope, however
this is not visible in the final image we used in our
opening.
 In the photograph of the victim who was
poisoned, a small glass tube is shown to represent
the poison. For this we filled a glass tube with
some water and glitter so it looked like a
dangerous chemical substance of some kind.
