This document outlines tasks for a project on reviewing and exploring Web 2.0 collaboration tools. It includes identifying blogs in different categories and reviewing their content. • http://www.macrumors.com/ MacRumors.com is a website focused on Apple news and rumors.
MacRumors attracts a broad audience of both consumers and professionals interested in the
latest technologies and products.

Table 5.5) and choose at least one collaboration tool from the table. 10

utilities offered. b. Make a review on how important is each of the main
utilities you have identified. c. Prepare a brief report on your finding
Google Docs is the web-based editing program that allows users
to create, share and edit documents through a secure networked
system. There are also offshoots called Google Sheets and Google
Slides that allow users to create spreadsheets and PowerPoint
presentations. I really liked it because I uploaded an Excel
document, and I and my partner could work ate the same time in
the same spreadsheet. In other words our document became an
online editing program.

13. • 3. LinkedIn (www.linkedin.com) has become one of the most important
connecting tools for professionals. For the following task, you will create an
account on LinkedIn and complete your profile. 20 Points a. Include your
student experience and key classes taken as professional experience. b.
Connect with at least 2 people within the same segment c. Understand the
features of “Recommendations” and “Following” “Groups” Companies”
“Jobs” and its advantages d. Prepare a brief report on your findings

14. • LinkedIn is a social networking site designed specifically for the business
community. The goal of the site is to allow registered members to establish
and document networks of people they know and trust professionally.
• A LinkedIn member’s profile page, which emphasizes employment history
and education, has professional network news feeds and a limited number of
customizable modules. Basic membership for LinkedIn is free. Network
members are called “connections.” Unlike other free social networking sites
like Facebook or Twitter, LinkedIn requires connections to have a pre-
existing relationship.
