This document summarizes statistics on the mining industry in the Philippines from 2007-2011. It shows that the gross production value of the mining industry increased from 102.2 billion pesos in 2007 to over 111.1 billion pesos in 2010. The mining industry contributed between 1.2-1.7% of GDP and exported between 1.47-2.61 billion dollars worth of minerals annually. Employment in the mining sector increased from 149,000 to 197,000 people from 2007-2010. Taxes, fees, and royalties collected from the mining industry ranged from 7.7-12.4 billion pesos annually over this period.
