- 5. What is different about MilliCare? MilliCare’s dry cleaning process cleans deep into carpet fibers. After the particle contacts the soil and stain, it attacks and adsorbs the dirt. The moisture in the particle is the key in this process. Polymer is brushed deep into carpet and adsorbs soil. Moisture evaporates, soil is adsorbed. Vacuum removes polymer and soil. - 7. Another Benefit to MilliCare Typical portable hot extractors have a 10 gallon solution tank and can clean between 1,000 and 2,000 sq. ft. before refilling. Moisture recovery can be anywhere between 60% to 75%. - So, how does the chemistry work? Our powder is comprised of synthetic polymer particles that work like a sponge. Each non‑toxic particle can adsorb 80‑95% of its own weight in soil and the particulates in the air that you don't want to breathe. Clients often ask me what "adsorb" means. Adsorb describes how the surfactant that coats each particle attracts the soil so that the soil clings to the particle but never mixes with it chemically.
