2. A strategic approach towards transforming National Cyber Security

the 14 - 16 September 2015 in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman. The Middle East Cyber Security
Exhibition was co-located with OFFSEC at the Oman International Exhibition Center which was
inaugurated by His Highness Sayyid Harib bin Thuwaini Al Said.
The two day summit was held at the Golden Tulip Seeb Hotel under the support of Eng. Bader
Al Salehi, Director General, Oman National CERT. The summit was inaugurated by Mr. Yaqoob
Safer Al Balushi, Deputy CEO for Infrastructure and E-Services followed by a welcome key
note address by Eng. Bader Al Salehi, Director General, Oman National CERT. The event was
attended by over 150 participants who had an excellent opportunity to listen to an array of case
study presentations and success stories from international experts as well as technology solution
providers who shared their insights on globally renowned cyber security.
The first day of the conference featured keynote presentations by Mr. Ayham Yassmineh, Criminal
Intelligence Officer, Focal Point for Middle East and North Africa Region, INTERPOL General
Secretariat who introduced the audience to Interpol’s global complex for innovation. Regional &
