2014 – present – I was declared fit and well enough to begin full time paid work again. I have been
actively seeking work alongside my volunteering work. During this time I have obtained an Enhanced
DBS check which was conducted last Autumn 2015.
2014 – Undertook some agency paid work as a Relief Scheme Manager for Anchor Housing in
Halifax.
2013 – Present (ongoing) Volunteering work for the RSPCA – Home Assessor for new pet owners
adopting rescue animals across the Bradford region.
2011 – 2013 Suffered from ill health for a period of time

years only)

Norwich City Council - Sheltered Housing Scheme Manager.
I was the permanent Scheme Manager for a residential housing scheme for the elderly; managing 42
bungalows as well as providing a 24 hour on call service to other schemes in the local area.
Day to day, typical responsibilities would include the following:
- Morning welfare checks to each of the 42 bungalows (over 55’s), checking the residents were up
and that there were no health issues or difficulties
- Health and safety checks to the building
- Weekly Fire Alarm testing

2. - Re-assessing all tenant information and recording data every few weeks to ensure the correct
information was recorded.
- Manage the full voids process from end to end from end of of tenancies to new tenancy sign ups
which included organizing essential repairs to be completed; advertising empty properties and
interviewing new tenants
- Attended block meetings with residents and other Scheme Managers and housing staff and
attending essential training sessions
- Arranging day outings for residents and luncheon events
- Dealing sensitively with any deaths or illnesses of residents, updating the next of kin and
appropriate services
- Arranging open days with the police, the local councillor and the community
- Opened a hearing clinic for the public, encouraging the community to use the facilities
- Hiring out the main hall for public use for various events when not in use by residents
- Assisted with major kitchen & bathroom refurbishment, project managing the work; monitoring
contractors and liaising with residents keeping them informed
- Organising and managing Fundraising Events
- Providing a 24 hour on call service, every other week end, providing cover for approximately 20
schemes across the Norwich area.

St Martins Housing trust - Senior Support Worker.
Duties – Took charge of a 45 bed hostel for the homeless and ran a shift of 5 staff.
Support clients, help with benefits and daily living skills, liaise with CPN’s, probation service, GP’s, drugs
and alcohol advice etc
Mar 04 to May 06
Quantica Healthcare - Residential Childcare Worker.
Duties – Worked in children’s home for looked after children. Tutored them and taught them basic living
skills, liaised with social workers. Took them on supervised home visits, attended court with them etc.
I also worked within youth hostels.
September 03 to October 05

Duties – Planned and ran a youth club and organized outings and activities.
Worked with the community and tried to educate and promote inclusion.

Duties – Dealt with support plans, staff rota’s, medication stock control, health and safety of staff and
residents, on call duty.
