I would like to introduce myself. My name is Michael Kinsel and I am currently a 2210 series
DOD employee working for the Naval Air Systems Command here at NAVAIR Patuxent River,
Maryland. Between my military time, time as a government contractor and as a civil servant
(since 2008), I have worked for the US Navy for 33 years. I was an Electronic Technician in
the Navy as an E-5 until 1994 and have worked in Information Technology ever since.
Currently my primary job is to engineer and design DOD JWICS Top Sercret/SCI systems
from the ground up. This includes all life-cycle upgrades, maintaining current network
systems and keeping systems working within budget constraints.
My specialty is with network infrastructure. From the point of presence (the ISP), COMSEC
equipment (Encryptors) layer 2 and layer 3 switches, servers (physical and virtual) and
network services.
I have been doing this a really long time.
It is hard to tell someone from a resume, or even a cover letter for that matter, I know that I
am the perfect fit for your command. You won't regret it. At least I don't think so.
The reason that I am pursuing a position in Hawaii is because my fiancée is working now for
Norwegian Cruise Lines on the Pride of America that is home ported in Honolulu. I have
several certifications and I am 8570 IAT level III. I have included a copy of my certifications
along with my resume’.
I am not asking for relocation assistance, I will take whatever action necessary to relocate to
Hawaii on my own.
Thank you for your consideration, I truly appreciate your interest.
