The organization implements mHealth projects using a living lab approach, focusing on changing behaviors through mobile technology and data. Their flagship product, M-TIBA, is a mobile health wallet that allows family members to pay into a virtual account dedicated to healthcare costs for a patient. It connects payers, clinics, and patients to facilitate care access and financing while exchanging medical data and transaction information. An example program implemented this model for an HIV/AIDS clinic, establishing over 1,700 family wallets that supported over 5,500 patient visits. The organization also explores cash advance loans via mobile platforms to smallest healthcare providers.
