The United States District Court for the Central District of California issued an order to plaintiff Metin Demir to show cause why his action against Magnolia Education and Research Foundation should not be dismissed for lack of prosecution. The order noted that absent good cause, an action shall be dismissed if the summons and complaint have not been served within 90 days after filing. Plaintiff was advised that a responsive pleading by the defendant or proof of proper service on the defendant by July 21, 2017 would be considered a satisfactory response to avoid dismissal.
