THE MISSION OF MERCURY ONE
“To inspire, organize and mobilize individuals to improve the human condition
physically, emotionally and spiritually with malice towards none and charity
for all.”
"United as one, we must emerge from this looming darkness and follow the
light. Illuminated in the unquestionable majesty that is America's alone."
4. Mercury One Charlotte
We as individuals must take on our own responsibility and that of our family. Let’s make a
difference in 2012. Stay true to your own goals but hopefully you will consider some of my
goals as reasonable and attainable efforts that will guide you throughout the year.
• Have strong Beliefs – know where you are going and where you are headed. It doesn’t
matter where you have been – look forward and not back.
• Be an Optimist – be a positive role model and find the good in everyone. Appreciate life
everyday!
• Relentless Preparation – answer the unanticipated, sense of calm with practice. Prepare for
the worst and pray for the best.
• Invest in Others – be a mentor - assist others without expecting anything in return. In 2011, I
expanded my mentorship role and will build upon my willingness to assist others succeed in
2012.
• Live in a State of Gratitude – 86,400 seconds in a day – how will you use this time?
• Act rather than React – take action. Don’t wait for others to lead. We must lead and take
care of others.
• Reinvent Yourself by Doing what you Do and Always have Done ---------- Differently!
• AND always See through eyes of love and understanding.

6. Elderly
There were 76,000,000 “baby boomers’ born during the period from 1946 to 1964.
If they start to retire this year, there will be approximately 10,000 new people PER DAY
added to social security. Maybe they will postpone retirement a few years because
the Great Recession has eroded their retirement funds.
It will be interesting to follow the baby boomers and their retirement decisions. Some will
take social security early at age 62 because the funds are available now (really?) and
some will postpone retirement by working longer. Their decisions will dramatically
affect our Country.
Also, the baby boomer generation will shoulder the responsibility for their elderly parents
and also for their children as they navigate through the ever changing world. Our
mission is to provide resources for Mercury One Charlotte contacts.
At some point in time, the media labeled a home as an investment. The public started to
view a house as they would stocks and bonds. The media misled and the public
forgot about raising a family in a HOME. A home provides a sense of community,
stability and strengthens personal responsibility.
7. Real Estate
Pride of Ownership and Home Sweet Home
Regaining a sense of a “normal” housing market will take years if not decades to
overcome the impact of the recession on housing. A list of a few issues we are all
concerned about: Short sales, foreclosures, moving for a new job, new family
formations, rent vs. own, mortgages, maintenance, property rights, property values,
and many more issues will be addressed by Mercury One Charlotte.
Where Will Our Children Live?
Mercury One Charlotte will provide the resources and expertise to assist our Charlotte
families with their home needs. If gas goes to $5.00/gas - what will you do?
Things to think about:
buying a home to manage your monthly cost and not based on price
buying a home close to where you work, shop, and play
buying a home that fits your family needs
buying a home for a “home” and not as an investment
8. Youth Outreach
From Mercury One:
"Obviously, the youth are our future. Are we equipping them to take on the challenges that
await them in the world? Mercury One will connect with youth, educate them in healthy
living and give them the courage, strength, and knowledge to blossom in life.
Becasue if we don't, someone else will, and it may not be the influence you want your child to
be under."
Be a MENTOR
Education
From Mercury One:
"Mercury One will spread knowledge of history, current events, current problems, how to solve
them, and what you as an individual can do to make the world a better place.
"This education is vital to young and old alike, and it is critical that the knowledge be shared."
Reinvent Yourself --- Find something you can do and make a living by yourself.
9. Fighting Illness
“Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you'll find one at the end of
your arm. As you grow older you will discover that you have two
hands. One for helping yourself, the other for helping others.” Audrey
Hepburn
Mercury One mission is to "reach out and offer a helping hand to those
who are suffering. How we treat others in their darkest hours is the most
true reflection of what kind of person we are."
10. Goodness
REFLECTIONS FOR THE NEW YEAR
(From the writings of Harold Warbeirn)
Because the world is poor and starving,
Go with bread
Because the world is filled with fear,
Go with courage
Because the world is in despair,
Go with hope
Because the world is living lies,
Go with truth
Because the world is sick with sorrow,
Go with joy
Because the world is weary of wars,
Go with peace
Because the world is seldom fair,
Go with justice
Because the world is under judgment,
Go with mercy
Because the world will die without it,
Go with love.
