Middle East Glass Manufacturing Co. (MEG) is one of the largest glass manufacturers in the Middle East, with a history dating back to glass blowing techniques developed in ancient Egypt. MEG has three production facilities and uses state-of-the-art technology across its six furnaces and 17 production lines. It produces a wide range of glass containers for beverages, food, oil, pharmaceuticals, and other industries. MEG has achieved several quality certifications and exports over 50% of its production capacity to 25 countries around the world.

Quality
At MEG, quality assurance is an integral part of the manufacturing process to
ensure consistent and reliable quality meeting stringent customer requirements.
MEG production lines are equipped with state of the art inspection machines
(Combination of mechanical inspection machines with on-­‐‑line thickness sensors
and vision based camera machines for sidewall, finish and base inspection from
MSC-­‐‑Tiama and Emhart). In addition to on line production monitoring systems
(IAFIS) ensures seamless communication between the cold end and the hot end
on a 24/7 basis.
Well-­‐‑equipped chemical laboratory in each location ensures a
consistent and reliable glass composition and quality. All the plants
have sophisticated physical cold end laboratories to ensure that
the final products packed meet the customers stringent supply
chain needs.
