introductions are the
first words we say
when we meet people
so it is important to
know what to say and
how.

3. Greetings
 To start a conversation we start by
greeting the other person.
There are many ways to say hello in
English. Sometimes you say a
quick hello as you are passing
somebody. At other times a greeting
leads to a conversation.
Useful phrases
 Hello
 Hi
 Good morning
 Good afternoon
 Good evening *
 Hey, John
 How's it going?

4. To introduce ourselves to other people is important know the vocabulary

 This is [name of a friend]

 I am happy to meet you

5. Example
 Hello, my name is John, what is your name?
 Hi John my name is Jane pleased to meet
you.
 Where are you from?
 I’m from Canada, and you?
 Cool, I’m from Mexico, and how old are you?
 I’m thirty years old.
