This document provides instructions for students on how to set up and test their audio for an online class meeting using Elluminate software, including selecting audio input and output devices and adjusting volume levels. Contact information for the teacher is also provided, along with an overview of communication tools available in the online class such as sending messages and using emoticons. Students are reminded that the first day of the online class will be on September 7th.
8. 1.Select YOUR audio
input device
A.If you’re using a
headset try “Line In”
B.If that does not work
try Microphone again.
C.If you don’t have any
options you may need
to contact Tech Support
9. 2.Test your microphone
A.Click the record button
B.Talk into the
microphone at a normal
level
C. Adjust the slider as
necessary to show
some green and yellow
but NO RED!!
11. 5.Select your audio
output device
A.There should be only
one option
B.If there are no options
contact Tech support
12. 6.Click the play button
to hear a recording
A.Slide the adjuster for
the volume as needed
to hear it better
13. 7.Last step promise!!
A.If everything sounds
good to you click ok
B.If not go back and
change what you’d like
C.Once you select yes
you’re done setting up
audio wizard!
14. How do I Talk?!?
Microphone off…. Microphone on….
When given rights to talk, turn your microphone on
and off by clicking it
15. How do I send Messages?!?
You can send messages
in class as long as you
have rights to do so.
Type your message and
choose who you want
to send it to and click
send.

area at the top
left of the
screen
