This slide is a description of the application created by me in my final year Btech in JIIT.This is my final major project submission.The name of the application is MedScape.

2. INTRODUCTION
• The MedScape application is designed from a user point of view. The user friendly
design helps the users in accomplishing the task targeted with ease. Attempts have
been made to keep the design simple and understandable.
• MedScape App is an Android application that provides the users with health
related services. It has various modules-
• It provides an easy and efficient way to call an ambulance in case of an emergency,
• It provides the user with information about blood of which group is available in
which nearby hospitals,
• It gives information about doctors that could treat the user’s incase they have any
disease just by asking them about the symptoms of their disease
• It suggests alternative to some generic medicines to the user incase they are not
able to find the prescribed medicine.
• It helps the customer to locate nearby hospitals and medical stores using GPS.
• It facilitates the user to book appointment with doctors by sending text messages.
• It also maintains a record of the appointments made by the user using the
application so that the doctors have this information.
4. Requirements
• Functional Requirements
• Graphical User interface which the user interacts with.
• Provide accessibility to the application through Wi-Fi or cellular network.
• Database that stores the information to be displayed to the user.
• GPS coordinates are required to provide location based services.

• Non-Functional Requirements
• It must have scalability i.e. the application can be expanded to support
larger number of users without reducing its performance.
• Reliability-the ability of the system to behave consistently in a user-
acceptable manner when operating within the environment for which the
system was intended.
• Usability-finding usability problems in UI design, making
recommendations for fixing them,
5. IMPLEMENTATION
• Graphical User Interface
• The user interface is kept simple and understandable. The user need not take any
additional effort to understand the functionality and navigation in the application.
The colors are chosen in such a way that user can easily understand where the
input has to be given. Hints are given to help the user in giving the correct input.

8. BLOOD BANK MODULE
BLOOD BANK SCREEN: This
screen gives an option to the
user to select a blood group
and find information about
the availability of blood for
the selected group in the
nearby hospitals.
9. SYMPTOMS MODULE
SYMPTOMS SCREEN: This
screen lets user select what
problem he is facing
(symptoms).Once the user
selects the symptoms, he is
suggested some of the
doctors that can help the
user. He can also book an
appointment with the doctor.
The app maintains a database
of the appointments made by
the users.
10. HOSPITAL AND MED. STORE LOCATION
HOSPITAL SCREEN: This
screen contains a map which
locates the hospitals in
vicinity to the user’s current
location.
MEDICAL STORES SCREEN:
This screen contains a map
which locates the medical
stores in vicinity to the user’s
current location.
