8. •ENCAUSTIC – used by Egyptians for the painted
portrait on mummy cases. Done by painting with wax
colors fixed with heat.
9. •STAINED GLASS – made by combining
many pieces of colored glass which are held together by
bands or lead.
10. •MOSAIC – made of small pieces of inlaid colored
stones or glass called “tesserae” which is cut into squares
glued on a surface with plaster and cement.
11. •TAPESTRY – a fabric consisting oof a wrap upon
which colored threads are woven by hand to produce a
design.

surface that is direct result fro a duplicating
