This is a free webinar by the Military Caregiving concentration area of the Military Families Learning Network. Medicare is the federal health insurance program for adults over age 65 and other qualified individuals. While the program basics remain virtually unchanged year-to-year, a new year always brings a few tweaks to the program. This session will provide a brief update to the “Back to Basics: Medicare” session provided January 27, 2016 with changes to the program for 2017. The session will also provide a broad overview of the Medicare program’s coordination of benefits with other programs such as Medicaid, Social Security Disability Insurance, TRICARE for Life and VA Benefits, among others.
