The human body emits infrared radiation corresponding to its surface temperatures, allowing remote temperature measurements. Thermography analyzes skin temperature patterns for normal bilateral symmetry and detects pathological deviations. It has advantages over other imaging as a non-invasive, radiation-free, real-time examination useful for early cancer detection like in breast cancer screening.
