Cupcake Productions presents a short film called "Mr. White in Sunderland" that puts a modern twist on the classic Alice in Wonderland story. Instead of Alice, the main character is the White Rabbit. The characters are humans living in Sunderland who have the traits of Alice in Wonderland characters. The film will be shown as a special feature on the Alice in Wonderland DVD and at film festivals to appeal to audiences familiar with the classic story. It is a comedy that follows a series of unfortunate events that happen to Mr. White due to his tendency to be late, but ends on a happy note with a surprise birthday party.

idea
is
basically
a
twist
on

Alice

Wonderland

Alice

not
the
main
character,
the
White
Rabbit

our
short
film
is
there
is
a
difference
to
the
dated
‘Alice
in
Wonderland’
characters.
The
modern
twist..

characters
are
all
human,
living
in
the
city
of
Sunderland.
Although
they
aren’t
exactly
the
same
as
the
Alice
in
Wonderland
characters,
they
all
have
the
traits
and
characteris-cs.

4. Mr.
White
in
Sunder-­‐land
is
a
comedy.
The
idea
is
an
adult
take
on
a
children's
classic.
The
twist
in
the
story
is
a
posiDve
one.
Much
like
the
award
winning
short
film
‘Sign
Language’.
Disappointment
has
seeped
through
the
film
which
makes
the
audience
empathize
towards
Mr.
White,
but
not
losing
that
happy
fairy
tale
ending.

short

on

thinking
everyone
hates

as
it’s
his
birthday
tomorrow,
he’ll
be
spending
it
alone,
he
goes
to
bed
and
cries,

stairs.

he
walks
into
his
living

all
of
his
friends
are
there
