- 2. Who is the media institution for my media product? The media institution for my media product would mainly be a cinema or company that will release the opening sequence for audience viewing. Before making the film, producers and directors can ask for the media institution to fund their project.
- 3. What will the media intuition do? The opening sequence would first be viewed by the audience at the cinema either worldwide, nationally or locally. After a certain amount of time the film will be given out to shops to cell as merchandise as DVD’s which will be be available for the audience to buy.
- 4. Who could distribute my media product? I looked at popular institutes that distribute films these include; BBC Vertigo films Film Four The UK film council
- 5. The BBC The BBC are responsible for producing many British independent films such as Billy Elliot and This is England. It aims to make strong British films with range and ambition, bringing the best of British talent to audiences
- 6. Vertigo films They are a UK media company who create and distribute commercially driven independent cinema. They use new technology and ensure that they create films that their audience approves of
- 7. Film Four They showcase a wide range of British and international films that come from all over the world. They are also partnered with Warp X Films where they challenge British and international films and try to create new ones with a lower budget so that they can appeal to a niche audience.
- 8. The UK Film Council The UK Film Council (UKFC) was set up in 2000 by the Labour Government as a non-departmental public body to develop and promote the film industry in the UK. It is constituted as a private company limited by guarantee governed by a board of 15 directors and is funded through sources including the nation lottery.
- 9. Which institute should I choose to distribute my Media product? I would consider all four media institute to distribute my media product as they are all successful and will contribute to my media product popularity. With their help they will help attract interest from many UK audiences.
