The opening sequence of the film "Susurration" shows video clips from the past of a capturer taking children from different locations, accompanied by background whispering. It then switches to the present, showing a teenage girl, Katie, running from the whispering in the woods. As she stops to catch her breath, the whispering stops but she is then strangled by a rope. The genre is thriller, with the goal of quickly pacing the opening to not reveal too much of the plot. The main characters are Katie and the unseen capturer. Children seen in the past tapes are the victims of the capturer.

2. Plot
Our opening sequence begins by showing short video clips which
appear they have been filmed in the past. These clips show the
capturer taking children. In each clip there will be a different
location and different set of characters. When the children are
being taken there is background whispering heard to the
audience, this is related to the abduction of the children. The final
clip switches to present day, this shows how the capturer is still
around after a number of years. We see the girl running from the
whispering, we see her stop as she catches her breath. The
whispering then stops and she thinks she is safe. You then see a
rope around her neck and the shot fades to black.

3. Genre
The genre of our film is Thriller. We hope to
achieve this by making the opening sequence
quick paced and not revealing to much
information to the viewer about the main plot of
the film.

4. Characters
In our Opening sequence we have 2 main characters and some groups of children.
Our main character in the opening sequence is called Katie,
played by Katie Parry. She is a teenage girl who features in
the clip based in the present day. We see her running through
the woods whilst hearing voices in her head and are later
strangled by a rope by the ‘capturer’.
Our second main character is the Capturer who is played by Liam Hurley. He is present
within most of the opening sequence but not clearly visible to the audience. In the
opening sequence we see children going missing (which is by the capturer) but the
audience aren’t fully aware as to why or how but may gain knowledge it is by the
capturer. No identity is given to the capturer which intrigues the viewer and encourages
them to want to watch the rest of the film.
The Children, which are played by others, are shown in the past tapes in their element
with their friends. These are the victims of the capturer which leaves a mystery to the
viewer as to where they have gone.

5. Locations
The locations in which we are hoping to set our
opening sequence in are a park, a picnic area, a
field, and a wood. For these locations we are
hoping to use

-The Meads
-Presdales Woods
