Mary Mather evaluated her team's media project. She learned basic filming skills like camera shots and angles. The team succeeded by planning equally and using a variety of shots that produced good continuity. Areas for improvement included lighting, which they will focus on next time by borrowing professional lamps. The team met the overall brief of using various shots like shot reverse shot and point of view to create a good quality preliminary video.

2. What Have I learnt?
• From this preliminary task I have learnt to
conduct basic skills when filming.
• I have learnt to detect when to use certain
camera shots and angles.
• I have learnt to plan, organise and
compromise with the team to produce a
standard piece of work.

3. Areas Of Success
• We succeeded in many ways. One of
these ways was that we all did an equal
amount in the planning, filming and
editing. This enables us to produce a
quality film.
• We used a variety of shots such as; Hand
Held, Close-up, Medium shot, Shot
reverse Shot and point of view.
• We produced good continuity which was
shown throughout the film.

4. Areas for improvement
• In our task we could have improved the
lighting by planning more and possibly
borrowing a professional lamp, to
enhance the ‘spooky’ feeling, from school.
We will be doing this next time as we will
focus more on this important factor.

5. How well we met the brief
We met the overall brief efficiently as we
produced a video clip which involved :
• Shot reverse shot
• POV
• Follow shot
And many others to create a good quality
preliminary piece .
