1. • The use of cinematography extinguish a
character it shows whether the character is good
or bad. Cinematography is used well in taken as
it can focus on the main Character but also show
the scene of the film in different peoples
perspectives.
2. • The story line is also an important factor
the storyline is original but we were
influenced through all of the films and we
created a crime thriller. Our story line is
good as it establishes the character quickly.
3. • Taken explores the crime thriller and
provokes the audience into feeling fear and
tension. We will use the character of James
Woods to create enigmas and so the
audience can connect with him like they
connect with Liam Nelson in taken.
4. • Sound is one of the important things of a
thriller, but it is only effective when used
correctly, it is used to emphasis emotions
and to enhance certain aspects of the film.
• Music is used well in contraband as it
shows certain aspects of characters
5. • The editing had to be fast paced to ensure
that it built tension, and it also had to be
focused around the main character as this
shows the audience who the main
character is. The film taken uses fast paced
editing well to build tension.
6. • The use of using a text came from the film
uwantme2killhim? As the use of a phone is
personal next to all of the people who would
watch our film have a mobile phone, so they
could connect with the character.
• The costume used was to be based on the
contraband outfit as he isn’t a hero but just a
normal character.
7. • Most crime thriller has an element of evil or has
an element of interest within the first two
minutes; this is shown in Se7en where the
antagonist kills the first on of his victims. We
don’t show the enemy in the first two minutes
but the enemy texts the character of James
woods about what to do.
