GROUND RULES FOR MUSIC & DANCE
VOCAL DUET
(In-charge: Mr. Raven Fajardo)
Guidelines:
1. The competition is open to all bona fide students of San Lorenzo Ruiz College of Ormoc, Inc.,
and members of any Departmental team/faction.
2. Each team should only have one (1) pair of contestants which can be (a) both males, (b) both
females, or (c) both male and female.
3. The pair may opt to choose an English foreign or OPM song, as long as it is originally
arranged for a duet.
4. Each team must submit a fielding sheet (i.e., the list of the official contestants for vocal duet)
on a long-sized bond paper, two (2) days before the music and dance festival to the Head
Committee. Once the said document has been submitted, amendments are not allowed.
5. If in case the contestants will not make it to the contest proper, replacement of
representatives is not allowed.
6. Each contestant must submit their minus one, two (2) days before the contest.
7. In the contest proper, each vocal duet performance should not exceed six (6) minutes.
8. The decision of the judges is final and irrevocable.
9. All other matters not covered in these rules shall be decided by the Manager who reserves
the right to amend or alter any provision of the above-mentioned Rules and Regulations for the
success and interest of the tournament.

VOCAL SOLO

Guidelines:
1. The competition is open to all bona fide students of San Lorenzo Ruiz College of Ormoc, Inc.,
and members of any Departmental team/Faction.
2. Each team should only have one (1) representative and can be male or female;
3. The choice of song must suit the age of the participants. The contestant must sing an OPM
Tagalog/Filipino song only.
4. Each team must submit a fielding sheet (i.e., the list of the official contestants for vocal solo)
on a long-sized bond paper, two (2) days before the music and dance festival to the Head
Committee. Once the said document has been submitted,, amendments are not allowed.
5. If in case the contestants will not make it to the contest proper, replacement of

GROUND RULES FOR MUSIC AND DANCE
HIP HOP
(In-charge: Mr. Raven Fajardo)
Guidelines:
1. The competition is open to all bona fide students of San Lorenzo Ruiz College of Ormoc, Inc.,
and members of any Departmental team/Faction.
2. A maximum of fifteen (15) and a minimum of six (10) dancers are allowed to participate.
Competing groups can be all male, all female, or a mixture of both;
3. Each team must submit a fielding sheet (i.e., the list of the official contestants for Hip-Hop) on
a long-sized bond paper, two (2) days before the music and dance festival to the Head
Committee. Once the said document has been submitted,, amendments are not allowed.
4. If in case a member of the group will not make it to the contest proper, replacement of
members will not be allowed.
5. Groups are permitted to mix and bring the music of their choice and saved on a flash drive.
The routine must be performed in its entirety to the music selected, prepared, and submitted
by the group. Each group must submit their music on a flash drive, two (2) days before the
contest.
6. In the contest proper, each group performance should be at least three (3) minutes and
should not exceed five (5) minutes.
7. Music should be wholesome and lively, and must not contain any subliminal, sexually
suggestive, or vulgar lyrics/ language. The participants are allowed to choose freely the parts of
the song they like to interpret.
8. Groups should include in their performance a broad selection of street dance styles without
excessive use of the same move or pattern. A varied range of styles should be shown in the
choreography of arm, leg, and body movement.
9. Attire may include accessories such as hats, caps, gloves, scarves, jewelries, etc. Use of props
to spice up the performance is allowed as long as it will not cause any delay in the program or
any harm to the group and other groups. Props such as oil, confetti, pyrotechnic gadgets,
smoke generators or combustible material, broken glass, live animals, sharp objects, and the
like are prohibited.

10. .Removing pieces of clothing during the performance is allowed, provided it is not offensive
or out of character.
11. Appropriate clothing should be observed in the competition.
12. Movements that are categorized under break dance are permitted, but should not control
or dominate the performance.
13. Any move where the competitors' weight is solely on the neck/head, i.e., head spins, head
stands, etc., is not allowed.
14. The decision of the judges is final and irrevocable.

the right to amend or alter any provision of the above-mentioned Rules and Regulations for the
success and interest of the tournament.

DANCESPORT COMPETITION
(In-charge: Mr. Raven Fajardo)
Mechanics
1. The competition is open to all bona fide students of San Lorenzo Ruiz College of Ormoc, Inc.,
and members of any Departmental team/Faction.
2. Each team must have two (2) couples as contestants which comprises of one (1) male and
female couple and one (1) couple for the third world category.
3. Competing couples may be (a) male and female, (b) male and male or female and female.
4. Each team must submit a fielding sheet (i.e., the list of the official contestants for dancesport)
on a long-sized bond paper, two (2) days before the music and dance festival to the Head
Committee. Once the said document has been submitted,, amendments are not allowed.
5. If in case the contestants will not make it to the contest proper, replacement of
representatives is not allowed.
6. Music will be provided by the committee.
7. The couples will only dance the Rumba and Chachacha Latin Discipline.
8. Performance in each dance in Derby Style is only 1 minute and 30 seconds.
9. Lifts are discouraged in the competition.
10. Costume: Instructions for the costume of contestants shall be announced ASAP.
11. Each pair will be judged through Points System: one (1) as the lowest; ten (10) as the
highest.
12. The decision of the Adjudicators is final and irrevocable.

GROUND RULES & GUIDELINES FOR CHEERDANCE
COMPETITION
(In-charge: Mr. Bryan Victor Vibar)
1. The Cheerdance Competition will be on the morning of the 24th
day of November 2023 at
SLRC Inner Quadrangle;
2. Each team/faction must have fifty (50) involved students: 40 members for dancers, cheerers,
lifters, and flyers; 10 spotters who are all black-garmented male students who will support
the cheerdancers, especially in the stunts as well as watchful aiders of any untoward
mishaps;
3. A dancer or involved student must be a bona fide student of the school and member of the
following teams/Faction (i.e., Pythons, Tigers, Selachimorpha, Lycans and Wild Panthers);
4. The entire routine duration encompasses a 1-minute set preparation for all the needed
props. Note: For this part, a red banner will be raised to give way for the said preparation;
5. After the preparation time, a green banner will be raised to signify the start of the
cheerdance routine(Yells and Choreography) which includes entrance and exit. The routine
must be 4 minutes and 30 seconds up to 5 minutes maximum cheerdance routine). Note:
The red banner is again will be raised to signify to the team that their entire routine
duration is over;
6. Each team/faction must designate their music-in-charge. The cheerdance routine is
accompanied by a 5-minutes maximum remix or non-remix music. Music must be submitted
on or before November 22, 2023;
7. The use of drums and other musical instruments is allowed;

8. The entire cheerdance routine can be choreograph by any SLRCian Student/s and faculty in-
charge or outsider choreographers.
9. Profanity and other inappropriate languages in cheers or yells are strictly prohibited;
10.Elevator lifts, stunts, or pyramids must only be on up-to-the-second-level or Modified Prep
(Waist Level) and Prep (chest or chin height level);
11.Any acrobatic or gymnastic elements with flight, aerial skills into stunts, tosses, and partner
stunts are prohibited;
12.Gymnastics and Acrobatic Stunts such as Full/half Splits, Forward, backward and sideward
rolls, front hand/backhand spring, cartwheel and the likes from a low position may be
allowed;
13.The cheerdancers are expected to immediately carry out their props while leaving, and the
ten (10) spotters are tasked to clear the dance floor’s premises after their team’s
performance;
14.The order of the competing teams are as follows:
 House of MedTech - PYTHONS
 House of Nursing - TIGERS
 House of Grade 11 - SELACHIMORPHA
 House of Grade 12 - LYCANS
 House of Pharmacy - WILD PANTHERS
15.Costumes and props are essential in cheerdancing since it provides visual aesthetics and
impact:
a. Hair and make-up, ribbons, rubber bands, and hairpins are allowed, but must be
properly secured;
b. Moderate Face painting is allowed, however, body painting is strictly prohibited;
c. Pieces of jewelry and any kind of stockings are prohibited, however, gloves are
allowed;
d. The cheerdancers can wear their respective team t-shirts or any kind of costumes that
represents their team/faction as long as the team color is dominant.
e. The lower apparel may be in the forms of shorts, jogging pants, and skirts for the
ladies;
f. Inappropriate and vulgar clothing is strictly prohibited
g. The foot gears may be in the form of rubber shoes;
h. Any type of formal shoes, high heels, boots, and slippers are not allowed;
i. Wearable articles that may impede vision and are deemed potentially injurious to the
wearer or team are not permitted;
j. For the props, each team must use a specific material that is included in any part of
the choreography (i.e., pompons, flags, hats, handkerchiefs, fans, ribbons, hoops,
rings, and others as long as it is safe to use);
k. Poles, sharp sticks, mascots, balloons, confetti, pen rants, PH flag, fireworks, and the
like are prohibited;
l. The overall performance and appearance must be decent (SLRC Standard);
m. Combinations of colors may be used as long as the assigned team color stands out.
16.Criteria for Judging and Demerits. Demerits will serve as precautionary measures in order to

17.All participants must exhibit the expected highest level of sportsmanship before, during,
and after the competition;
18.Failure to comply with any rules can cause forfeiture;
19.The team who earns the highest point score will be proclaimed as the “Best Cheerdance
Team”;
20.The Judges’ decision is final and irrevocable. In case of a possible/probable tie, the panel of
judges selects the superlative team.

BADMINTON

1. Verification. Player/s must be a bona fide student/s of San Lorenzo Ruiz College of Ormoc
and member/s of any Departmental faction/team.
2. Composition. A team is composed of a minimum of two (2) players, no maximum. A team
must submit a list of their official players, at the latest, before the start of their 1st
match. Once
the 1st
match has started, updates to the list will not be allowed. Fielding a player not in the list
is not allowed. A team has the prerogative to field any player in the list for as long as a
particular match has not yet started. A player may play in two events.
3. Event. The events to be competed in are MEN’S SINGLES, LADIES’ SINGLES, MEN’S DOUBLES
and LADIES’ DOUBLES.
4. Format. A double-elimination format will be used.
5. Scoring. All matches will be using the RPS scoring system. A match is won when a team has
scored 31. There will be a change of ends when a score of 16 has been reached.
6. Uniform. All players should wear shirts/shorts of their official color at least in their 1st
match
and during the finals.
7. Forfeiture. A team will be declared loser by forfeiture if their players are not around after the
last call of their match.
8. Protests. Any form of protest will not be entertained.

TABLE TENNIS

1. VERIFICATION. Player/s must be a bona fide student/s of San Lorenzo Ruiz College of Ormoc
and member/s of any Departmental faction/team.
2. Composition. A team is composed of a minimum of two (2) players, no maximum, both for
men and ladies. A team must submit a list of their official players, at the latest, before the start
of their 1st
match. Once the 1st
match has started, updates to the list will not be allowed.
Fielding a player not in the list is not allowed. A team has the prerogative to field any player in

BASKETBALL

1. VERIFICATION. Player/s must be a bona fide student/s of San Lorenzo Ruiz College of Ormoc
and member/s of any Departmental faction/team. (Except for Pharmacy Department for
they are allowed to invite their graduates to fill in players for this sport event)
2. Team Composition. A team is composed of a minimum of five (5) players and a maximum
of fifteen (15). A team must submit a list of their official players, at the latest, before the start
of their 1st
match. Once the 1st
match has started, updates to the list will not be allowed.
Fielding a player not in the list is not allowed.
3. Format. A double-elimination format will be used.
4. Uniform. In all the games, a team should be wearing shirts of its official color to identify
them to the officials. Furthermore, the players should be numbered. These numbers may be
printed or sown on any part of the shirt or shorts so that they will not be detached during a
game. Any player who does not follow the before-mentioned numbering will not be allowed
to play. If a team has a uniform, it would indeed be very advantageous.
5. Game Mechanics. A game is played by quarters, where each quarter is played for eight (8)
minutes. The first three quarters will be using running time while the last quarter will be
using cut-time. Moreover, only one 1-minute time-out is allowed for the first three quarters.
However, for the last quarter, two 1-minute time-outs are allowed.
6. Forfeiture. A team is declared loser by forfeiture if it fails to appear ten (10) minutes after
the last call.
7. Protests. Protests in any form will not be entertained.

2. Format. A double-elimination format will be used.
3. Scoring. The RPS (rally point system) type of scoring will be used. A match is won when a side
wins two sets out of three. Each set is played until a score of twenty-five (25), or when a side has
a margin of two (2) points in the case when a 24-all tie ensued.
4. Uniform. A team should wear shirts of its official color in all their matches and the players
should be numbered. These numbers may be printed or sown so that they will not be detached
during a game.
5. Forfeiture. A team will be declared loser by forfeiture if it fails to appear at the playing court
ten (10) minutes after the last call.
6. Protests. Protests in any form will not be entertained.

Scrabble game event) on a long-sized bond paper, two (2) days before the start of the
tournament to the head committee. Once they have submitted the said document, they can no
longer make amendments.

5. Game Mechanics:
 The person who draws the earliest letter in the alphabet plays first;
 Once the order of turns is established, each person draws six more tiles in that order;
 The game progresses as each player lays down tiles on the board that makeup words
that to already plotted words;
 Tiles can only be placed from left to right or from top to bottom. Words placed
diagonally or backward are not allowed; After each turn, the tile values are added up
and placed on the score sheet, and the person draws the number of tiles they used
for their last play, always having seven tiles until all tiles run out;
 The faction with the most points at the end of the game will be announced as the
winner.
 The tournament strictly forbids players from insulting or disrupting the other team
using unsuitable language, if found doing so, the players will be disqualified or
banned from the tournament; mobile phones and other means of electronic
communication are strictly prohibited inside the playing area. A player who will violate
this rule shall lose their game;
 A team whose member is giving unsolicited advice or assistance to their teammates
while the games are in progress shall lose their match;
6. Scoring. the faction with the most points at the end of the game will be announced as the
winner. In case of a tie the player with the highest score before adding or deducting unplayed
letters wins.
7. Forfeiture. a player will be declared a loser by forfeiture if they fail to appear at the venue
five (5) minutes late after the last call.

MOBILE LEGENDS: BANG BANG

I. Mechanics and Guidelines
1. The competition is open to all bona fide students of San Lorenzo Ruiz College of
Ormoc, Inc., and members of any Departmental team/faction.
2. Each team must provide five (5) members in one (1) team only. Note: Strictly no
substitution.
3. Each faction must submit a fielding sheet (i.e., the list of the official players of this
event) on a long-sized bond paper, two (2) days before the start of the tournament to
the head committee. Once they have submitted the said document, they can no
longer make amendments.
4. All players must wear shirts colored with their team’s official colors—preferably, the
Intramurals 2023 t-shirt, however, players can wear any colored pants as long as it is
comfortable; players are prohibited to wear sando and slippers during the
tournament as this can cause forfeiture.
5. Game Mode: Custom Mode – Draft Pick.
6. Sides: Blue/Red will be announced before the match or decided by a coin toss.
7. Victory Condition: The first team to destroy the other team’s base tower win;
games will be a Best-of-Three Series.
8. All competitors must be present at the venue fifteen (15) minutes prior to the
schedule.
9. If a team is incomplete within the given extended time of 15 minutes. The team will
automatically forfeit the match and points will be given to the other team.
10.If a competitor has to leave the tournament during their scheduled match, the
coordinator, in charge, referee, and official must be informed.
11.All other matters not covered in these rules shall be decided by the Manager who
reserves the right to amend or alter any provision of the above-mentioned Rules and
Regulations for the success and interest of the tournament.
12.No player shall perform any cheating with regard to match results.
13.The tournament strictly forbids users from insulting or disrupting the other team
using voice chat or unsuitable language, if found doing so users will be disqualified
or banned from the tournament.

2. Each team must have one (1) pair to represent the team.
3. Competing pairs must be male and female only.
4. Each faction must submit a fielding sheet (i.e., the list of the official contestants of
this event) on a long-sized bond paper, three (2) days before the start of the
tournament to committee. Once they have submitted the said document, they can
no longer make amendments;
5. If in case the contestants will not make it to the contest proper, replacement of
representatives is not allowed;
6. The rating of Mr. and Ms. Intramurals 2023, Sports Attire and Best in Production
No. is based on individual performance.
7. Each team will select one (1) sport to be interpreted.
8. For the Production No. all contestants must wear their Team/Faction Shirt paired
with white pants and rubber shoes for the Males and white mini skirt (Knee level)
and heels for the females.
9. Sports attire, equipment, and sash (i.e., three (3) inches of cloth ribbon with team
color and name) must be provided by the team.
10.Only natural make-up is allowed.
11.Practices will be on November 15, 16, 17, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM and
November 18, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the AVR.

The competition is open to all bona fide students of San Lorenzo Ruiz College of Ormoc, Inc., and members of any Departmental team/Faction. 2. A maximum of fifteen (15) and a minimum of six (10) dancers are allowed to participate. Competing groups can be all male, all female, or a mixture of both; 3. Each team must submit a fielding sheet (i.e., the list of the official contestants for Hip-Hop) on a long-sized bond paper, two (2) days before the music and dance festival to the Head Committee. Once the said document has been submitted,, amendments are not allowed. 4. If in case a member of the group will not make it to the contest proper, replacement of members will not be allowed. 5. Groups are permitted to mix and bring the music of their choice and saved on a flash drive. The routine must be performed in its entirety to the music selected, prepared, and submitted by the group. Each group must submit their music on a flash drive, two (2) days before the contest. 6. In the contest proper, each group performance should be at least three (3) minutes and should not exceed five (5) minutes. 7. Music should be wholesome and lively, and must not contain any subliminal, sexually suggestive, or vulgar lyrics/ language. The participants are allowed to choose freely the parts of the song they like to interpret. 8. Groups should include in their performance a broad selection of street dance styles without excessive use of the same move or pattern. A varied range of styles should be shown in the choreography of arm, leg, and body movement. 9. Attire may include accessories such as hats, caps, gloves, scarves, jewelries, etc. Use of props to spice up the performance is allowed as long as it will not cause any delay in the program or any harm to the group and other groups. The competition is open to all bona fide students of San Lorenzo Ruiz College of Ormoc, Inc., and members of any Departmental team/Faction. 2. Each team must have two (2) couples as contestants which comprises of one (1) male and female couple and one (1) couple for the third world category. 3. Competing couples may be (a) male and female, (b) male and male or female and female. 4. Each team must submit a fielding sheet (i.e., the list of the official contestants for dancesport) on a long-sized bond paper, two (2) days before the music and dance festival to the Head Committee. Once the said document has been submitted,, amendments are not allowed. 5. If in case the contestants will not make it to the contest proper, replacement of representatives is not allowed. 6. Music will be provided by the committee. 7. The couples will only dance the Rumba and Chachacha Latin Discipline. 8. Performance in each dance in Derby Style is only 1 minute and 30 seconds. 9. Lifts are discouraged in the competition. 10. Costume: Instructions for the costume of contestants shall be announced ASAP. 11. Point System: INTRAMURALS 2023 GROUND RULES & GUIDELINES FOR CHEERDANCE COMPETITION (In-charge: Mr. Bryan Victor Vibar) 1. The Cheerdance Competition will be on the morning of the 24th day of November 2023 at SLRC Inner Quadrangle; 2. Each team/faction must have fifty (50) involved students: 40 members for dancers, cheerers, lifters, and flyers; 10 spotters who are all black-garmented male students who will support the cheerdancers, especially in the stunts as well as watchful aiders of any untoward mishaps; 3. A dancer or involved student must be a bona fide student of the school and member of the following teams/Faction (i.e., Pythons, Tigers, Selachimorpha, Lycans and Wild Panthers); 4. The entire routine duration encompasses a 1-minute set preparation for all the needed props. Note: For this part, a red banner will be raised to give way for the said preparation; 5. After the preparation time, a green banner will be raised to signify the start of the cheerdance routine(Yells and Choreography) which includes entrance and exit. The routine must be 4 minutes and 30 seconds up to 5 minutes maximum cheerdance routine). Note: The red banner is again will be raised to signify to the team that their entire routine duration is over; 6. Each team/faction must designate their music-in-charge. The cheerdance routine is accompanied by a 5-minutes maximum remix or non-remix music. Music must be submitted on or before November 22, 2023; 7. The entire cheerdance routine can be choreograph by any SLRCian Student/s and faculty in- charge or outsider choreographers. 9. Profanity and other inappropriate languages in cheers or yells are strictly prohibited; 10.Elevator lifts, stunts, or pyramids must only be on up-to-the-second-level or Modified Prep (Waist Level) and Prep (chest or chin height level); 11.Any acrobatic or gymnastic elements with flight, aerial skills into stunts, tosses, and partner stunts are prohibited; 12.Gymnastics and Acrobatic Stunts such as Full/half Splits, Forward, backward and sideward rolls, front hand/backhand spring, cartwheel and the likes from a low position may be allowed; 13.The cheerdancers are expected to immediately carry out their props while leaving, and the ten (10) spotters are tasked to clear the dance floor’s premises after their team’s performance; 14.The order of the competing teams are as follows:  House of MedTech - PYTHONS  House of Nursing - TIGERS  House of Grade 11 - SELACHIMORPHA  House of Grade 12 - LYCANS  House of Pharmacy - WILD PANTHERS 15.Costumes and props are essential in cheerdancing since it provides visual aesthetics and impact: a. Hair and make-up, ribbons, rubber bands, and hairpins are allowed, but must be properly secured; b. Moderate Face painting is allowed, however, body painting is strictly prohibited; c. Pieces of jewelry and any kind of stockings are prohibited, however, gloves are allowed; d. The cheerdancers can wear their respective team t-shirts or any kind of costumes that represents their team/faction as long as the team color is dominant. e. The lower apparel may be in the forms of shorts, jogging pants, and skirts for the ladies; f. Inappropriate and vulgar clothing is strictly prohibited g. The foot gears may be in the form of rubber shoes; h. Any type of formal shoes, high heels, boots, and slippers are not allowed; i. Wearable articles that may impede vision and are deemed potentially injurious to the wearer or team are not permitted; j. For the props, each team must use a specific material that is included in any part of the choreography (i.e., pompons, flags, hats, handkerchiefs, fans, ribbons, hoops, rings, and others as long as it is safe to use); k. Poles, sharp sticks, mascots, balloons, confetti, pen rants, PH flag, fireworks, and the like are prohibited; l. The overall performance and appearance must be decent (SLRC Standard); m. Game Mechanics:  The person who draws the earliest letter in the alphabet plays first;  Once the order of turns is established, each person draws six more tiles in that order;  The game progresses as each player lays down tiles on the board that makeup words that to already plotted words;  Tiles can only be placed from left to right or from top to bottom. Words placed diagonally or backward are not allowed; After each turn, the tile values are added up and placed on the score sheet, and the person draws the number of tiles they used for their last play, always having seven tiles until all tiles run out;  The faction with the most points at the end of the game will be announced as the winner.  The tournament strictly forbids players from insulting or disrupting the other team using unsuitable language, if found doing so, the players will be disqualified or banned from the tournament; mobile phones and other means of electronic communication are strictly prohibited inside the playing area. All competitors must be present at the venue fifteen (15) minutes prior to the schedule. 9. If a team is incomplete within the given extended time of 15 minutes. If found doing so users will be disqualified or banned from the tournament. 15.All members must only use their own game account to take part in the match. 16.There are no restrictions on the account level, heroes, or skins used. GUIDELINES ON MR. AND MS. INTRAMURALS 2023 (In-Charge: Mr. Bryan Victor Vibar) I. Mechanics 1. The competition is open to all bona fide students of San Lorenzo Ruiz College of Ormoc Inc., and members of the following Teams/Faction (i.e., Pythons, Tigers, Selachimorpha, Lycans, Wild Panthers) 2. Each team must have one (1) pair to represent the team. 3. Competing pairs must be male and female only. 4. Each faction must submit a fielding sheet (i.e., the list of the official contestants of this event) on a long-sized bond paper, three (2) days before the start of the tournament to committee. Once they have submitted the said document, they can no longer make amendments; 5. If in case the contestants will not make it to the contest proper, replacement of representatives is not allowed; 6. The rating of Mr. and Ms. Intramurals 2023, Sports Attire and Best in Production No. is based on individual performance. 7. Each team will select one (1) sport to be interpreted. 8. For the Production No. all contestants must wear their Team/Faction Shirt paired with white pants and rubber shoes for the Males and white mini skirt (Knee level) and heels for the females. 9. Sports attire, equipment, and sash (i.e., three (3) inches of cloth ribbon with team color and name) must be provided by the team. 10.Only natural make-up is allowed. 11.Practices will be on November 15, 16, 17, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM and November 18, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the AVR. 12.Mr. and Ms. Intramurals 2023 will be judged by the following criteria: SLRC Intramurals 2023
