This document outlines a course on unconventional machining processes. It covers five units: (1) Introduction, (2) Mechanical energy-based processes, (3) Electrical energy-based processes, (4) Chemical and electro-chemical energy-based processes, and (5) Thermal energy-based processes. Unit 1 introduces unconventional machining and provides an overview of different processes. Units 2 through 5 go into more depth on specific unconventional machining methods, including abrasive jet machining, electrical discharge machining, electrochemical machining, and laser beam machining. The course objectives are for students to learn about various unconventional machining processes, process parameters, and their applications.
