Peter Hansen paddled the entire 2160 kilometer length of the Murray River over 53 days from Albury to Goolwa. He prepared extensively for the solo trip, practicing self-rescue techniques and planning for sustenance as a vegetarian doing intermittent fasting. Navigation required using multiple maps, charts, and GPS. The trip allowed him to experience the diversity of the river from swamps to dams to towns, and surprised him with the isolation, generosity of people he met, and fragility of the river environment threatened by motorized watercraft.
Dance Diaspora Trip to The Gambia 2012
Vanessa Champagne studied Gambian culture through dance, rhythms, and conversations with residents in Banjul. She learned there are 10 tribes in Gambia, not 6 as reported. Activities included visiting wood and batik markets, James Island slave fort, and meeting descendants of Kunta Kinte in Juffure. The trip provided valuable cultural lessons and was a life-changing experience.

My last vacation
I took a vacation with my son to visit my family who lives in the valley of Cauca. While there, my mother prepared delicious food for us and I enjoyed it very much. I spent time with my family at a swimming pool, went fishing with them, was in a new park, and danced with friends, sharing in wonderful experiences during this holiday.

Homework is an important part of school that helps students learn and practice skills outside of the classroom. It allows teachers to assign work for students to complete at home to reinforce lessons and topics covered in class. While homework takes time and effort, it is designed to benefit students by helping them retain information and prepare for tests and projects.

- 2. • This summer I had a really adventurous experience because I made some lines among the trees at Comana House. Initial I didn’t want to try, but it wasn’t such dangerous how it seemed.
- 3. • This summer, I went to Divertiland, a water park, in Bucharest. I tried all the water slides. Me and Miruna also enjoyed the pool with waves.
- 4. • Two years ago I visited a zoo park with my family in Bucharest. I saw tigers, fish, reptiles, and an animal which attracts people: a funny baboon!
- 5. • Two years ago I went to a skating rink. I couldn’t be the best skater, but I managed quite well because I knew how to roller skate.
- 6. • Last year and two years ago I had the occasion to visit Iasi because I took part in a national competiton at Romanian language. And last year I won special prize!
- 7. • This summer I saw a lot of spectcular sunsets. One of them seemed that the sky was on fire… Were you ever prepossessed by a simple natural phenomenon?
- 8. • This summer me and my sister made and ate many cakes, but we prepared muffins too. They were delicious!
- 9. • My birthday cake was a special one. It was like a diary – Diana’s diary – and when I ate it I had the same pleasure like when I read the books “The diary of a wimpy kid”.
- 10. • Miruna played many times at “Kids World” and last year she was painted as a cat on her face. She was very happy and she behaved like a real cat.
- 11. • Last year, Miruna learned cycling in Bucharest. She was really happy and we were proud of her.
