Dr. Swain believes involvement in the AJSA helps youth develop confidence and life skills. He is committed to continuing his support for the fundraiser and giving juniors opportunities to succeed through their involvement with Simmental cattle.

The Title X Family Planning Program provides federal funding for contraceptive services, supplies and information through over 4,500 clinics nationwide. The program aims to provide family planning services to all individuals who want or need them. In 2017, Planned Parenthood provided over 11 million health services to patients, including 4 million contraception services, nearly 4 million STI tests and treatments, and over 1.8 million cancer screenings and preventions. Abortions accounted for 332,278 procedures out of the total 11 million health services. The organization has faced political criticism and threats to its funding due to also providing abortion services, despite the majority of its health services not involving abortion.

This paper examines the role of churches in protecting children in Nairobi, Kenya. It finds that while churches are seen as generally safe places for children and leaders are committed to protection, the church's formal child protection systems are weak. Specifically, most participants felt policies, monitoring, training, and partnerships were not strong. However, budget allocation to children was viewed as a strength. The paper concludes the church needs to strengthen its legal framework, accountability, child participation, and capacity to better protect children. It recommends the church advocate for laws, provide more training, and work with communities and government to improve protection.

He has over 45 years of experience in community organizing and human services. This leads to a population pyramid with a wide base of children and a narrow peak of elderly. The consequences of a high birth rate include higher demands for resources like housing, education, jobs, and environmental problems due to pollution.

There are several factors that can cause differences in birth rates between countries, including tradition, access to birth control, levels of women's education and employment, infant mortality rates, reliance on children for old-age support or work, religion, desires for higher standards of living, and falling fertility rates in developed countries. Douglas Brennan, an FBI agent and medical student, has participated in several MS 150 charity bicycle races to raise money for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. The annual Bike MS event involves over 100 cycling routes across various states, with participants fundraising and earning money for every mile biked to support research, education, and wellness programs for those living with MS. Nearly 80% of funds raised through Bike MS go directly to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society to help improve lives affected by the disease.

Nearly half of the world's population is under 25 years old and they face significant health risks if not properly informed about issues like contraception and sexually transmitted infections. Lack of information, socio-cultural barriers, and unpreparedness for adult roles all contribute to unsafe practices among youth. Ensuring good reproductive health can help achieve development goals by decreasing rates of early pregnancy, HIV/AIDS transmission, and maternal/infant mortality while increasing economic productivity. Providing youth with clinical services, sex education programs, and youth development opportunities are important solutions.

- 47% of Americans receive some form of federal aid, while 3.4% receive welfare through the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families program. The average monthly welfare payment is $366, with an additional $80 for each child.
- Out-of-wedlock birth rates are not significantly higher in states with higher welfare benefits. Approximately 3/4 of welfare families have 2 children or less, while only 10% have 4 or more children.
- Most welfare recipients, either adults or children, receive benefits for less than a year. Adults may only receive benefits for a maximum of 2 years, unless they are disabled and can receive benefits for up to 5 years total.

DESCRIPTION
Reproductive life planning (RLP) is a client-based assessment of personal life goals to determine if and where childbearing fits in with education, family, relationships, work, and more. This assessment then informs the development of a flexible strategy to prevent or plan future pregnancies in order to successfully meet these goals.
However, getting patients to modify their health or sexual habits isn’t always easy. The practice of motivational interviewing (MI) is an effective catalyst for behavior change. MI is a quick, effective, client-centered counseling technique that allows clients to define their own goals and make their own choices by helping them identify what is personally meaningful and valuable in their own lives, and to act in ways that will help them meet their goals. Best of all, it works.
This full-day pre-conference workshop introduced participants to the core concepts of motivational interviewing, placed within the context of reproductive life planning, a process which allows individuals to make appropriate decisions regarding their sexual and reproductive health, desire to have children, and birth spacing.
Participants learned the basic techniques of motivational interviewing and discovered how to help clients assess their own goals, make a plan that will help them meet those goals, and find ways to overcome obstacles that may occur along the way.
ABOUT THE PRESENTERS
Meghan Benson, MPH, CHES, has worked in the field of sexuality education since she was a teen peer HIV educator in high school. Throughout her education and professional experience, she remained dedicated to advocacy and education around women’s sexual health. She completed her MPH in Community Health Sciences with a focus on adolescent health and development at the University of Illinois-Chicago and will be pursuing her PhD at the UW-Milwaukee Zilber School of Public Health in Fall 2015. As the director of Embody, Meghan develops programming and coordinates educational opportunities throughout the state. Meghan is a board member for the Association of Planned Parenthood Leaders in Education, a Wisconsin Alliance for Women's Health board member, and a member of the Dane County Youth Commission.
Anne Brosowsky-Roth has been with Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin for over 20 years. During that time, she has held various positions within the patient services and community education departments. In her current role, she provides direct education for Planned Parenthood staff and other health professionals on reproductive and sexual health. Anne also provides research and support for staff as the manager of the Maurice Ritz Resource Center, the Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin community library.

Dr. Shashwat Jani provides a summary of the optimal management of women who experience reduced fetal movements (RFM). It recommends confirming fetal heart tone with Doppler, performing a cardiotocography if over 28 weeks, and considering ultrasound to check amniotic fluid and fetal growth if concerns remain. L ARGININE IN OLIGOHYDRAMNIOS BY DR SHASHWAT JANI
L-arginine supplementation is an effective treatment for oligohydramnios. L-arginine increases nitric oxide levels, which causes vasodilation of the uterine arteries and improves uteroplacental blood flow. This helps overcome placental ischemia associated with oligohydramnios. Studies have found that L-arginine treatment accelerates fetal growth, improves biophysical profiles, and results in better neonatal outcomes compared to placebo or standard therapy alone. L-arginine is a promising treatment for oligohydramnios that is cost-effective, easy to administer, and has few side effects for both mother and fetus.
