Care Net of Greater Orleans is a non-profit crisis pregnancy center that provides support for women with unplanned pregnancies. The organization offers counseling, pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, parenting classes, and material aid to help women explore all their options. Care Net does not perform or refer for abortions. At the Christian Alliance for Orphans annual gathering on May 1, 2015, Hope Through Healing Hands hosted a workshop entitled The Mother & Child Project: How to Prevent the Orphan Crisis. While most workshops were providing instructive guidance on the care of orphans and vulnerable children both at home and around the world, ours focused on the prevention side; that is, how can we stop the orphan crisis before it begins? How can we turn the tide over the next two decades?
There are many ethical aspects which derive from the application of reproduction control in women's health. Women's health can be enhanced if women are given the opportunity to make their own reproduction choices about sex, contraception, abortion and application of reproductive technologies.

• Care Net was founded in 1989 by Pastor Tim Lindsay of Harvest Christian
Fellowship in Albion, NY
• Care Net is a crisis pregnancy center, offering a safe and comfortable environment
for those who find themselves dealing with an unplanned pregnancy - allowing
time and an ear to listen.
• Material aid such as diapers, wipes, and clothing up to 24 months are offered,
when available, to people receiving other services from Care Net.
• Care Net is a non-profit organization and is funded through fundraising and
donations only; we receive no government or state funding. Three annual
fundraisers held are: Baby Bottle Drive - January, Annual Banquet - June, Walk for
Life - September / October.
• Care Net is not an abortion clinic, nor do we refer for abortion. Pregnancy clients
are educated on all options so that each individual has the knowledge necessary
to make their best choice.
