2. Analysis of a typical learner
• Enter search for desired course
• Check - does it fit my personal requirements?
• How has it been rated
• Is it likely to provide me with the knowledge I seek?
• How much will it cost?
• Can I preview the learning outcomes?
• Can I learn at my own pace?
• Will I receive any recognised qualifications?
• What can I do once I have completed the course?
• Will I enjoy the process?
7. Observations
• Many online courses are free to access.
• Most offerings are based on YouTube videos.
• There is little or no attention paid to assessment.
• Searching does not provide easily digestible list of
online courses.
• Few references to career opportunities (MC
excellent here).
• No integration with Presentation.
8. Predictive Learner Model

Note: All videos should be 90 seconds or less.
9. Educator Requirements Analysis
• Identify and use existing material.
• Create new material (be aware rapid change
may be required).
• Organise a consistent learning process based
on pedagogy (art and science of learning).
• Re-use learning concepts wherever possible.
• Create a fun and exciting learning experience.
10. Online service challenges
• If I assess the learner, how can I be sure of their
identity?
• If I assess the learner, how can I be sure that it is
their work that I am assessing?
• Embed continuous improvement within the
process
• Allow feedback and ratings
• Accommodate fast changing requirements and
technologies
• Host content within the organisation?
