In the London Business School's 2015 MBA Employment Report, it was highlighted that 93% of graduates secured job offers within three months, with a notable increase in students entering technology and e-commerce sectors. The diversity of employers grew, with 177 companies hiring graduates, and salaries significantly increased, particularly in consulting and finance. Overall, the report reflects the successful adaptability and achievements of graduates in a rapidly changing global job market.

Introduction from the Executive Director
We have had another strong year
in this exciting market with 93% of
our MBA 2015s accepting job offers
within three months of graduation
and 27 students starting their own
businesses. Our students and their
successes are contributing to London
Business School’s aim: to have a
profound impact on the way the world
does business.
The world is changing and our
graduates are adapting with it. A few
trends stood out: the number of
students choosing careers in the
technology and e-commerce sectors
continued to rise, increasing to 20%
of the class from 16% the previous
year. Finance as a whole was similar
to the previous year at 27% of the
class; however, within the sector,
the number of students choosing
investment banking dropped from
12% to 8% while areas such as
private equity and venture capital and
diversified financial services picked
up steam. Consulting remains the
most attractive sector with one-third
of the class choosing to work in
the sector.
The diversity of company choices
increased significantly with 177
companies hiring graduating students
for permanent employment versus
142 the previous year, an increase
of 25% in the number of individual
companies employing our MBA
graduates. Of those 177 companies,
20 hired three or more students which
means that almost 89% hired one or
two students, further demonstrating
the diversity of our employers.
Our London location continued to
attract approximately half of our
students, but we remain unique
amongst most business schools
given almost half the students pursue
careers outside of their place of
study. After London, the most popular
geographic regions were the rest of
Europe and Asia, each attracting 13%
of the class.
2015 also saw a big jump in salaries
as employers look to attract the
best students. The most substantial
increase was in the consulting
sector where mean salaries rose
from £73,108 to almost £79,773,
closely followed by finance where
mean salaries rose from £69,871 to
£78,358.
