Vodafone implemented a global ERP system in 2007 to address issues arising from its decentralized operations. The ERP system provided a single, centralized data repository and real-time business insights. It enhanced collaboration and brought consistency to Vodafone's common practices. The ERP implementation improved operational management of procurement and lowered costs. Vodafone worked with Accenture to roll out the SAP-based ERP system globally over several years.
