EIGHT DAYS AGO… U.S. Defense Satellites Detected a North Korean Missile Targeting the Moon The U.S. Military Launched an Emergency Counter Missile to Neutralize the Target Our Mission was to Determine if and When the Two Missiles Would Collide Because Saving the Moon is THAT Important Here’s The Data That was Found…
The Numbers Day Distance of North Korean Missile (mi.) Distance of United States Missile (mi.) 1 10,311 0 2 24,493 3,128 3 48,238 33,203 4 72,804 61,185 5 99,649 90,233 6 122,801 115,350 7 151,224 145,514 8 176,655 173,057
Solving the Issue The Information on the path of the Korean Missile was Put on a Scatter Plot Using a State-of-the-Art TI-84 Plus Graphing Calculator, a Line of Best fit for the path of the missile was Determined The Estimated Line for the Korean Missile was: y = 24388.05952 x - 21474.39286 This was Then Rounded to the Nearest Hundred: y = 24400 x - 21500
Line of Best Fit
U.S. Missile The Information on the Path of the U.S. Missile was also Put on a Scatter Plot Using a State-of-the-Art TI-84 Plus Graphing Calculator, a Line of Best fit for the path of the missile was Determined Estimated Line of Best Fit for U.S. Missile: y = 26176.40476 x – 40085.07143 Rounded Line of Best Fit: y = 26200 x - 40100

The Results BOOM
The Results Luckily for America, our Missile will Collide with the North Korean Missile approximately 10 and 1/3 days after the initial launch. They will collide about 230,633 and 1/3 miles from Earth. This was Determined by Using the Linear Combinations Method on the Equations of the Two lines of Best Fit This is of course assuming conditions are perfect, and that the missiles are in the same plane. Remember also, that by using line of best fit, these results are merely estimates, and are practically useless.
GO AMERICA!!! We Did it America! Congratulations in Neutralizing the Enemy Missile. Not only Did We Save the Moon, but We Also Fortified the Capitalism That Our Great Nation is Based On. That Will Teach Those Commies!
Possible Errors Failure to launch missile Missile Launch initiated too late Incorrect calculation of data Unforeseen Occurrences (space activity, etc.)
