IN PHILIPPINE EDUCATION
The COVID 19 pandemic accelerated
the adoption of blended learning
approaches, combining online and
offline methods to facilitate flexible
and accessible education.

2. EDUCATION TECHNOLOGY
INTEGRATION
There’s an increasing use of digital
tools, learning management systems,
and online resources to enhance
teaching and learning experiences.
Efforts are being made to provide equal
opportunities for students with disabilities
and special needs, ensuring their
participation in mainstream education.
3. INCLUSIVE EDUCATION
The implementation of the K-12 program, which
includes two additional years of senior high
school, aims to align the Philippine education
system with global standards and better prepare
students for higher education or the workforce.
4. K-12 EDUCATION SYSTEM
STEM
Science, Technology, Engineering, and
Mathematics (STEM) education is receiving
more focus to meet the demands of the 21st
century job market and foster innovation.
5. STEM EDUCATION EMPHASIS
There’s a growing emphasis on integrating
environmental awareness and sustainability
principles into the curriculum.
6. ENVIRONMENTAL AND SUSTAINABLE EDUCATION
The government is expanding alternative
learning systems to cater to out-of- school
youth and adult learners.

This approach promotes the use of
students’ native language as the medium
of instruction in the early years of
education, helping in better
comprehension and learning outcomes
8. MOTHER TONGUE-BASED
MULTILINGUAL EDUCATION (MTB-MLE)
Encouraging the development of technical
skills and vocational training to address
skills gaps and unemployment.
9. STRENTHENING TECHNICAL AND
VOCATIONAL TRAINING EDUCATION
Schools were increasingly adopting digital
tools and e-learning platforms to enhance
teaching and learning experiences
