Marcel Breuer was an architect and furniture designer who developed his personal architecture style while working in the carpentry shop at the Bauhaus. He is known for designing the iconic Wassily Chair in the 1920s. The chair was conceived when Breuer had the idea to bend steel tubes into frames without welding, allowing the pieces to be easily chromed and assembled. The Wassily Chair and other Breuer designs like the Laccio Coffee Table featured tubular steel frames and were suitable for use in bedrooms, living rooms, studies, offices, and more.
