 Market continued its rally for the third straight day on the
back of the strong global cues and moderation in December
headline Inflation
 Sensex closed at 16,466 points, up 277 points and Nifty ended
at 4,967 points, gained 93 points today.
 Headline Inflation during December eased to a two years low
of 7.47%
 The ease in headline inflation prompt investors RBI may cut
the Interest rates in the upcoming monetary policy review

2.  In sector wise, Capital Goods and Metal were the top
gainers, rallied more than 4% each on Tuesday
 Other sector such as Realty, Oil & Gas, Auto, Power
sectors were gained 2% each
 Metal shares were edged higher after witnessing smart
growth in chinese economy in December
 In auto sector, Maruti Suzuki marked as top gainer of
the day as the company hiked the vehicles prices in the
range 0.3 to 3.4% in order to compensate the burden of
high input costs and foreign exchange fluctuations
 Infosys rallied 1% on short covering. The scrip had
lowered drastically last week as the company reduced
revenue guidance for the current fiscal year

3.  Banking and Realty shares were up surged on
hopes of cut in interest rates by RBI in the
upcoming policy review. DLF up 2%, SBI and
ICICI up 1%
 Aviation stocks were gained 5-11% in ahead of
meeting for FDI in Aviation sector.
 Out of the total shares traded, 1,905 shares were
rallied and 978 shares were declined on Tuesday.
 Indian rupee appreciated 63 paise toRs.50.73 on
Tuesday on the back of persistent demand for
nation’s currency from corporates and bankers

4.  Asian markets were gained 1% to 4.18% as the
stronger than expected chinese GDP data boosted
up the market sentiment
 China has reported that Gross Domestic Product
data during December stood at 8.9%, which
crossed the expectation of 8.7% growth
 European markets have also trades on the positive
terrain following the smart rally in Asian market
 Crude trades $2.01 to $100.69 per barrel during the
early trade as the growth in one of the world
biggest economy prompted increase in demand for
commodity in future

5.  Gold futures were gained $33 to $1,664 an ounce
during the early trade as weak dollar increased
demand for the yellow metal
 The six currencies price tracking dollar edged lower as
euro demand increased in the overseas market.
