This document summarizes Walt Wollny's presentation on expanding internet infrastructure in Nepal. It reviews traffic data between 2015-2018 which shows increases between PLDT and Globe Telecom. While peering between the two providers was established in 2016, data shows it accounts for under 2% of traffic. The presentation considers whether expanding local infrastructure through peering exchanges or a content delivery network makes financial sense to solve problems of high costs and poor performance of traffic traveling long distances. Resources are provided for further traffic analysis to aid such expansion decisions.
