 DCPS Facilities and Operations have started working with the school
leadership and parent volunteers to develop a survey to understand the
transportation needs of families during the swing space year.
 The survey will help DCPS determine pick up and drop off times and the aftercare
needs of families.
 Survey results will be accepted through March 11th.
 DCPS and DGS are working to determine the pick up and drop off location at
or around Marie Reed.
 DCPS is working on a Swing Space logistics FAQ and will have the first version
posted after surveys are received.
 The goal is to have the transportation plan finalized by early May.

7. Move Coordination Meeting

 DCPS will be setting up a kick-off move coordination meeting with the
Marie Reed staff in the next few weeks.
 The contractor will be responsible for the move to MacFarland and will
provide all of the necessary materials to complete the move.
 DCPS will work closely with the staff to develop a packing plan to ensure
that boxes are ready to be moved before teachers leave for summer
break.
 The goal will be to utilize as much existing furniture as possible during the
swing space year. New furniture will be purchased for the new building.
 DCPS and DGS are working to determine a summer home for the Marie
Reed 12 month staff. The goal will be to have it near the Marie Reed
community to ensure that families can register over the summer.
