Maria Grazia Chiuri is the first female creative director of Dior. She studied fashion design in Rome and had a long career at Fendi and Valentino with Pier Paolo Piccioli before being appointed to lead Dior in 2016. As creative director, Chiuri has made Dior's message about female empowerment and brought attention to the role of women in fashion.
