What Gender Unicorns Know
Rosetta Eun Ryong Lee (http://tiny.cc/rosettalee)
There are many ways to
be me, and not
everything fits neatly
into bubbles of “boy” or
“girl.” And that’s okay!
What Gender Unicorns Know
Rosetta Eun Ryong Lee (http://tiny.cc/rosettalee)
All unicorns have
bodies. Some bodies
have parts that are
biologically male parts,
some bodies have parts
that are biologically
female parts. Some
bodies have parts that
aren’t so clear cut!
What Gender Unicorns Know
Rosetta Eun Ryong Lee (http://tiny.cc/rosettalee)
All unicorns have identities.
Some unicorns KNOW that
they are boy unicorns. Some
unicorns KNOW they are girl
unicorns. Some unicorns
KNOW that they are part girls
and part boys. Some
unicorns KNOW that they are
neither boy or girl.
What Gender Unicorns Know
Rosetta Eun Ryong Lee (http://tiny.cc/rosettalee)
All unicorns express
themselves. Unicorns like
to wear different colors,
wear their hair different
ways, play with different
types of toys, act different
ways. Some people think
these are “boy” ways and
“girl” ways, but unicorns
know it’s just “their way”
What Gender Unicorns Know
Rosetta Eun Ryong Lee (http://tiny.cc/rosettalee)
Many unicorns fall in
love when they grow up.
Some unicorns fall in
love with boys, some
unicorns fall in love with
girls, some unicorns fall
in love with either boys
or girls, and some
unicorns don’t fall in
love with anyone!
What Gender Unicorns Know
Rosetta Eun Ryong Lee (http://tiny.cc/rosettalee)
This unicorn was born
with boy parts, knows
that he is a boy, loves
the color pink and
dance ballet. He grew
up and fell in love with a
girl. That’s great!
What Gender Unicorns Know
Rosetta Eun Ryong Lee (http://tiny.cc/rosettalee)
This unicorn was born
with girl parts, knows
that she is a girl, loves
wearing her hair long
and paint her nails. She
grew up and fell in love
with a girl. That’s great!
What Gender Unicorns Know
Rosetta Eun Ryong Lee (http://tiny.cc/rosettalee)
This unicorn was born
with boy parts, knows
that she is a girl, loves
wearing her hair short
and paint her nails. She
grew up and fell in love
with a boy. That’s great!
What Gender Unicorns Know
Rosetta Eun Ryong Lee (http://tiny.cc/rosettalee)
This unicorn was born with
girl parts, doesn’t really
think of themselves as a
boy or a girl, loves playing
with trucks, wears their
hair long with purple
streaks. They grew up
and was NOT interested in
love. That’s great!
What Gender Unicorns Know
Rosetta Eun Ryong Lee (http://tiny.cc/rosettalee)
There are hundreds of
ways to be unicorns.
What Gender Unicorns Know
Rosetta Eun Ryong Lee (http://tiny.cc/rosettalee)
Each combination of
body, identity,
expression, and
orientation makes each
unicorn unique.
What Gender Unicorns Know
Rosetta Eun Ryong Lee (http://tiny.cc/rosettalee)
Unicorns all have
something in common,
though – they are all
awesome!
Here’s the REAL Truth…
Rosetta Eun Ryong Lee (http://tiny.cc/rosettalee)
WE are gender unicorns!
Rosetta Eun Ryong Lee (http://tiny.cc/rosettalee)
What makes up you
may be very different
than what makes up
another person. But
that’s great! That’s
what makes us unique
and awesome!
Here’s the REAL Truth…
Rosetta Eun Ryong Lee (http://tiny.cc/rosettalee)
And just like gender
unicorns, we can get to
know people and
appreciate them for who
they are instead of what
we assume they are or
what the world tell us
what they’re supposed
to do!
Here’s the REAL Truth…
What We Now Know or Think
What does “gender”
mean to you now?
What makes you
unique? What do you
appreciate about
others?
