● Strongest side of Automation QA is regression testing on a long-term projects which reduces the costs.
● Strongest side of Manual QA is exploratory/ad-hoc testing and reducing a cost of short-term projects.
Strongest sides of Manual are opposite to strongest sides of Automation.

At the end everything is about costs, as usual.
Your task is to propose a best solution for specific project/feature/test for now.
And remember QA is not about Manual or Automation its about Quality Feedback.
