2. What is the Problem?
● Out of tens of thousands of gig workers spoken to (and transacted with us) in
12 months, 80-90% said late payments and the lack of a store of value from
the gig platform was the biggest problem tied to their gig.
● Gig economy marketplaces in Africa lack financial services infrastructure
due to the sheer amount of resources (time & investment) it involves to
embed and integrate ⇒ few “plug and play” offerings
