Makhado Infopreneurs is a social enterprise network that conducted an indigenous knowledge survey in the Makhado Municipal area. They surveyed over 4,000 small businesses and compiled a catalogue of indigenous knowledge from 390 people. They provided training on information and communication technologies. The experience highlighted both cooperation from local chiefs and issues around protecting knowledge and beneficiaries. Going forward, they will develop awareness, identify business opportunities, strengthen relationships, and harness technology to disseminate information.
