1. Maintenance of Diesel Powered Generator Essential to Avoid Any Hazards
Generators are useful when you need temporary electric power, but they also can be
dangerous. Diesel generators are recommended due to their longevity and lower operating
costs. The process of installing, operating and maintaining power sets carries with them

maintenance of diesel powered generator.
School and Office systems across the country rely on a large number of diesel powered
school buses. Diesel gensets offer the benefits of both fuel economy and durability. But there
is also a downside to the use of these- diesel fuel and diesel exhaust exposure. The diesel
engine is a type of internal combustion engine, more particularly; it is a compression ignition
engine. The diesel engine fuel is ignited by suddenly exposing it to high temperature created
by pressure of a compressed gas containing oxygen. Thus extra care needs to be taken if we

 Never try to power your home by plugging the generator into a wall outlet – an unsafe
practice known as “back-feeding.” This extremely dangerous practice creates an
electrocution risk to utility workers and neighbours served by the same utility
transformer
 If fuel is spilled or the container is not sealed properly, invisible vapours can travel
along the ground and then can be ignited by the appliance’s pilot light or by arcs from
electric switches in the appliance
 Maintenance on regular basis should be performed on exhaust systems to ensure that
they are connected and are in working order; filters too should be changed and
maintained on regular basis.
