Standards: Literacy Achievement - Writing: Writing Strategies 1. Students
use the writing process to produce clear, legible, coherent texts that
develop and support a central idea appropriate to an intended audience,
purpose, and context.

   b. Students write a variety of texts including narratives, descriptions,
      informational texts, and real world correspondence that show an
      awareness of the knowledge/interests of an audience.

   c. Students convey their understanding of texts, broadcast/print media,
      and information using grade-level design.

2. Demonstrates balance and qualities of movement while manipulating
objects 3. Demonstrates accuracy when throwing, tossing, kicking, or
striking objects 4. Demonstrates movement patterns using space, time,
and flow in changing environments.

Project Grouping: Small Groups

Description of Product using Technology: Students use procedural
software, Lenovo Net Books and video to give directions on how to play
recess games correctly.

Technology Supplies Needed/ Resources Used Supplied by MSAP
(Teacher MAC laptop, video camera, Lenovo student netbooks, classroom
printer, Promethean Board, Thinking Maps software, iMovie, scanner,
computer lab iMacs, and IBM Tablet PC.

Site Support Staff: Reba Matthews (site Ed tech, computer lab teacher,
Dondi (network system technician)

Final Presentation Format: Saved in iMovie and QuickTime format.

MSAP Project Description

  • 1. School: Johnson STEM Teacher: Hall Grade Level: 3 Content Area: Physical Education and Language Arts Standards: Literacy Achievement - Writing: Writing Strategies 1. Students use the writing process to produce clear, legible, coherent texts that develop and support a central idea appropriate to an intended audience, purpose, and context. b. Students write a variety of texts including narratives, descriptions, informational texts, and real world correspondence that show an awareness of the knowledge/interests of an audience. c. Students convey their understanding of texts, broadcast/print media, and information using grade-level design. 2. Demonstrates balance and qualities of movement while manipulating objects 3. Demonstrates accuracy when throwing, tossing, kicking, or striking objects 4. Demonstrates movement patterns using space, time, and flow in changing environments. Project Grouping: Small Groups Description of Product using Technology: Students use procedural software, Lenovo Net Books and video to give directions on how to play recess games correctly. Technology Supplies Needed/ Resources Used Supplied by MSAP (Teacher MAC laptop, video camera, Lenovo student netbooks, classroom printer, Promethean Board, Thinking Maps software, iMovie, scanner, computer lab iMacs, and IBM Tablet PC. Site Support Staff: Reba Matthews (site Ed tech, computer lab teacher, Dondi (network system technician) Final Presentation Format: Saved in iMovie and QuickTime format.
