Description Electronic control unit ECU is used for controlling the internal combustion of engine to ensure
the optimum fuel utilization to get best power output from the engine with less emission. It does
this by reading values from a multitude of sensors within the engine bay, interpreting the data
using look-up tables and adjusting the engine actuators accordingly.
The Engine controller ECU is interfaced to other ECUs over CAN and LIN buses. This is to
share the information between ECU’s and with the external tools (for OBD).
