Rare lemurs like the aye-aye use their long fingers to find insects in trees at night. New species like the golden bamboo lemur are still being discovered. Madagascar has a variety of unusual reptiles and frogs that use bright colors and toxins for protection from predators. Many of Madagascar's unique creatures exist only on the island due to lack of industrialization and forest destruction.
