This document summarizes objectives and topics discussed at a meeting of Shalom Zone coordinators in Macon, Georgia. The meeting aimed to: 1) introduce the Shalom Zone model of asset-based community development; 2) identify strengths and goals within each zone; and 3) discover shared priorities. Attendees learned about building community through collaboration, focusing on assets rather than deficiencies, and connecting resources to local issues. They also discussed the meaning of "Shalom" and applying its principles of well-being, health and prosperity within their neighborhoods.
